This exhibition consists of recent works by Matthew Walsh, a Buffalo State College student currently completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design. The T-Shirt design and accompanying promotional material that Walsh has created for this exhibition represents his take on this potent tradition of youth inspired clothing. They are all Buffalo themed, and inspired by the history of the city’s breweries during prohibition. His overall concept for the brand is to tap into that rich history and combine it with modern day branding techniques. The resulting designs are edgy, new, and draw inspiration from its vintage roots. Finally, his goal is not just to sell a product, but communicate an experience.

Matthew Walsh is a New York City born Graphic Designer living in Buffalo, NY. He currently is completing his BFA in Communication Design at Buffalo State College and has interned at The University of Buffalo working with the football department on graphics.
