This exhibition consists of recent works by John DeJac IV, a Buffalo born Graphic Designer currently completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design at Buffalo State College.

Drawing from nearly 10 years experience of playing in different bands, this exhibition gave John an opportunity to merge his design abilities with his passion for music. The exhibition consists of branding, album artwork, merchandise designs, social media graphics, website designs, music videos and other promotional material for two music projects he is currently part of – Deep Valleys and Pursue//Prosper. Deep Valleys is an alternative rock band and his design work for them was created to brand and promote the release of the band’s debut album. Pursue//Prosper is a side project he created to write and produce his own instrumental rock songs. These designs were created to brand and give that project an online presence.

The overarching goal of this exhibition is to give both bands the ability to rise up in the local and national music scenes, and to attract a following in the highly competitive music business. To achieve this, John took inspiration from other famous bands and combined that with his own design research and aesthetic. The result is a creative and credible brand presence that compliments and expands upon the music – effectively communicating its story to the world.
