Fri 9/1 | DEADLINE | INVITE Weds 9/13 7-9PM Sugar City’s 4th Mystery Tour: As it is a mystery tour we can’t say much about it, but here is what we can say. Meet at Sugar City and we will take a walking tour of our Niagara Street neighborhood. Along the way a variety of art, music, comedy, performance will happen. Though you need to show up to find out what it will be. This event is free and open to all ages. Do you have an idea you would like to do at this years Mystery Tour? Let us know! Any idea will be considered. It could be anything from visual or performance art, comedy, music, reading or anything else. Artist Lottery: Pairing Night! The second installment of the Artist Lottery will be happening again this year. All visual artists (drawing, painting, film, print making, sculpture, installation etc…) are welcome to come to Sugar City on Thursday August 31st at 7:00 pm to be paired with another individual. You and the other person will have have from that night through October 15th to collaboratively create one piece. Footings (Indie, Peterborough, New Hamshire) Footings is a vehicle for the songs of Eric Gagne, who also played with Death to Tyrants, Dweller on the Threshold, and Redwing Blackbird. He is often joined by Elisabeth Fuchsia on viola, and/or Dustin Ashley Cote on drums, and together they create music that has been described, as part Songs:Ohia, part Godspeed You Black Emperor. Eric is also a co-founder of New Hampshire DIY music festival Thing In The Spring which just celebrated it’s 11th season this past year.
Rick Maguire (from Pile-indie rock, Boston,MA) Pile is an American indie rock band from Boston,Massachusetts. Starting as the solo act of Rick Maguire in the late 2000s, Pile has been a collective since the release of “Magic Isn’t Real” in 2010. To date, Pile has released six full-length albums and two singles. In recent years the band has gained increasing popularity, becoming a prominent part of the Boston indie rock scene and frequently touring through both the US and Europe. While remaining outside of the mainstream, the band has been repeatedly recognized for captivating a particularly enthusiastic and dedicated fan base. Their sound has been described by The Village Voice as a “distinct blend of melted guitars” with “howling-wolf vocals and shred-free guitar harmonies”
