Fragments of Ubiquity: Paintings by Cody Schriever
Artist Reception: February 1st, 6-9 pm | INVITE
On View: January 28 – February 2nd

Cody Schriever combines a mixture of different imagery and styles of painting, addressing the fractured and chaotic reality that humanity creates for itself. Reflecting on the bombardment of information in the modern age, and the enduring forces that drive human behavior in both the micro- and macro- levels of the population, while coping with the fact that our species seems bent on self-destruction.

Observations and musings on these repeating phenomena foster the emotive reaction of the artist which is transformed into the abstract backdrop in which the content and subject matter sticker and blend, resulting in psychological depictions of the world through the eyes of the artist.

All members of the LGBTQ+ community are invited to join our second Queer and Trans Craft-luck! The Craft-luck, a combination of a crafting event and a potluck, is an event that began as a way for members of our community to get together outside of the bar scene. The event focuses on crafts, snacks, and community. If you are able to, here are a few ways you can help make this event a success: -Donate any art/craft supplies that you aren’t using.
-Bring a dish, appetizer, dessert, or snack to share with the group.
-Share the event, and invite your friends.
Feel free to bring a project you are currently working on, or start a new one with the table of shared art supplies. It is recommended that you bring your own canvas if you can, as those are in limited supply. Also, please let us know of any upcoming events within the LGBTQ+ community! We would love to pass along the information during the Craft-luck. Please note that the event has moved to a new location!
